Civic Organization “Human Rights Platform” promotes the development of free and professional media and the protection of journalists’ rights, right to information, and digital rights.
How can the institution help you?
The Organization offers free legal aid (advice and defense in court) to journalists and free media to protect the right to information and other journalists’ rights.
Activities
- Legal advice, defense in court, and defense in criminal procedures to protect free media, journalists, and activists and their right to information and digital rights
- Training and awareness raising
- Monitoring of public funds
- Monitoring of the judiciary
- Monitoring of digital rights observance
- Training of groups (journalists, media, ethnic minorities), which are vulnerable to government pressure, in defending their rights
- Supporting the network of human rights legal experts in their ongoing activities to protect the interests of target groups throughout Ukraine (legal advice and defense in the Ukrainian courts and the European Court of Human Rights)
- Development and dissemination of methodological materials (manuals, templates, guides, etc.) and implementation of online services
- Monitoring of websites of national executive bodies and local governments
